Tristan[1] is a wielder of a Sunforge dagger who lives in the town at the bottom of the Cursed Caldera.
Appearance[]
Tristan is a lean man with blue eyes, blond hair and mustache. His clothing consists of a white shirt, a gray fur cape, brown gloves, and brown boots.
Personality[]
Tristan shows himself as arrogant, boastful, and seeks to fight anyone who can give him a challenge. Like most humans, he has a hatred for elves. He is, however, willing to help others when asked.[2][3]

Book One - Moon[]
The Dagger and the Wolf[]
Tristan appears inside the town located at the base of the Cursed Caldera, where he boasts his feats in defending the Border and challenges random bystanders to fight him and his magical weapon. After witnessing him using his dagger to cut Allen's massive sword into pieces, Rayla catches Tristan in an alleyway, where she asks him to cut off her binding. Despite a warning to attempt the dangerous act, his weapon burns her, causing her to lose her glove. Tristan then discovers Rayla to be an elf and tries to fight her, but is quickly overwhelmed, resulting in him offering his dagger in return for his life. He turns out visibly surprised when Rayla refuses to hurt him or steal from him.
After their initial encounter, Tristan tells the townspeople about Rayla and rallies them to find and kill her, chasing her and Team Zym out of the town. The angry mob comes to a stop upon noticing that they are running towards the Cursed Caldera, certain that the hated elf would die there.
Half Moon Lies[]
In the credits, Tristan gives Corvus instructions as to where he had seen Team Zym head off to.
