Ezran runs off.
Scene Change
Viren sits alone on a rock at the base of the Storm Spire. He tosses a rock over the edge and looks up. Claudia swoops low toward the spire with wings sprouting from her back while carrying the Relic Staff while Terry clings to her back holding the Sun staff. She lands in front of Viren who gasps and steps back. Terry hops off Claudia's back and the wings magically disappear in purple light. She steps up to Viren and holds out his staff.
Okay. We should all get some rest. At dawn, we cast the spell to open the chrysalis.
Claudia and Terry walk away holding hands.
Scene Change
At night, at the Sunfire settlement, a Sunfire elf kneels by a Soul Candle. He dips two fingers into a red pigment and smears it in lines over his eyes and cheeks. He produces a spark with his hands and a flame circles around the candle.
Ezran, I've been working on something. A new kind of jelly tart! Uh, but instead of jelly, it has this mushy brown stuff I invented. I call them Brown Sludge Tarts!
Oh, you mean Grumpernickel? [laughs] No. No, no, no. I promise, the brown sludge is remarkable!
Barius hands Ezran the box with tarts then walks away. Callum smiles at Ezran and nods. Ezran walks over to Zubeia who leans her head down so he can climb onto it. Callum and Soren walk over to Pyrrah and climb onto her back.
Ezran offers Rayla his hand. She grabs it and he pulls her onto Zubeia's head. Zubeia lifts off and flies over the valley. Pyrrah is about to fly after Zubeia.
My mother passed away today. This is her spirit flame. It has to burn through the night so that at dawn, her spirit can return to the light of the Sun.
"In darkness, gaze upon a Fallen Star." I think this mirror is connected somehow to the evil returning to the world. We need to bring it with us to the Storm Spire.
Ah! Soren's got a Primal source of his own. It's called "muscles." Flexio! Right, like how you do? [laughs]
Soren carries the mirror out of the office. Callum spots the Key of Aaravos, then puts it in his backpack. In the castle courtyard Callum and Soren mount Pyrrah's back with the mirror.
His name is Aaravos. And yes, he was a star. A Startouch Elf. One of the Great Ones, respected and loved by all until we uncovered long-hidden treachery.
Zubeia flies into the direction of the moon. The scene changes to Luna Tenebris, the former Dragon Queen, lying on a rock surrounded by her dragon subjects.
[Voiceover] Luna lacked a suitable heir and the other dragons fought bitterly over who should ascend in her place. As the conflict swirled and escalated towards inevitable violence, the great leader of the Sunfire Elves, Queen Aditi, stepped in to broker peace.
Queen Aditi is shown overlooking a range of mountains with dragons flying above. The gem on her crown flashes and the scene changes to the three Archdragons, joined by Zubeia, surrounding Queen Aditi.
[Voiceover] The Archdragons trusted this wise and kind leader, and agreed to abide by whatsoever she decided.
Queen Aditi rises her staff and activates her magic to pass her judgement while the Archdragons eagerly await the results. Her sun staff falls to the floor.
Chaos and confusion erupted, and war threatened to tear Xadia apart. As now the elves suspected the dragons had killed their queen. But truth came from an unexpected source. A young human girl discovered a great secret of history.
[Voiceover] A dangerous deceiver was revealed: It was one of the Great Ones, the Startouch elf: Aaravos! For a thousand years, Aaravos had been pulling invisible strings like a puppet master.
The five leaders of the Human Kingdoms are gathered around a map of Xadia, when Aaravos is seen whispering into the ear of the leader of Katolis.
[Voiceover] Every great crisis the world faced, seemed the work of some ingenious and powerful leader. But in each case, it was secretly Aaravos...whispering in their ear.
Scene Change
Aaravos' image of whispering into the leader's ear transitions to whisper into the ear of a sleeping Claudia, who snores peacefully in her bed. Viren lies nearby, he wakes and looks at Terry. Terry sits straight up crying.
He was a mage, a Skywing Elf. A-And he was going to take Claudia's life, I had no choice! I love your daughter so much. Look at her sleeping, she's just perfect.
Claudia snorts in her sleep while rolling over, with drool dripping from her mouth.
I have always been ready to do anything to protect my family, however dangerous, however vile. But there is an aching pain mixed with love that you feel in these moments. In the name of love, you may perform acts so unforgivable... you will never forgive yourself.
If you won't put it out... then I'll do it for you!
Lucia looks around, grabs a bucket of water douses the candle. The crowd murmurs and gasps. Yonnis drops to his knees. Tears stream down his face as his skin crackles and glows, his eyes flashing red and he screams.
Yonnis lunges at Lucia and grips her hands. His skin crackles with fire and he burns her. Tears stream down Lucia's face as she falls to the ground. Yonnis holds the bucket in his hands which catches fire.
Aaravos was able to give them something they wanted very badly. [Voiceover] Aaravos chose as his instruments people who had strong minds and strong hearts... but who had an insatiable thirst and fascination with magic.
Callum and Soren can be seen flying on the back of Pyrrah. Callum looks into the mirror while holding the Key of Aaravos.
Even after Avizandum and I allied ourselves with the other Archdragons, we could not risk a direct confrontation.
Avizandum and Zubeia lie down on the rock where Luna Tenebris lied before them, surrounded by their dragon subjects. Avizandum's head is shown over a lava pool with flashes of lightning.
[Voiceover] We had to beat Aaravos at his own game. We could not let on that we knew of his crimes and treachery. We had to conspire, and plot, and deceive this deceiver so that at the exact right moment, he would lower his guard and we could imprison him forever.
Aaravos is shown with a bright purple star on his chest. Glass cracks show over Aaravos.
Part of its power is that no one knows where it is. Each of the Archdragons had a clue, a piece of the puzzle, but not one of them had the complete picture. [Voiceover] Avizandum was given an enchanted looking glass so he could keep watch on Aaravos and make sure he remained trapped and helpless.
Avizandum is standing with the Magic mirror in front of him. Aaravos is seen in the mirror.
Ibis' body lies on a carved stone platform at the top of the Storm Spire. Later Ezran steps up to the platform. He stands back as Rayla kneels next to Ibis' body and cradles his head. She gently lays his head down. Ezran walks up onto the platform.
Rayla hangs her head. Zym walks closer to Ibis' body. He nudges his snout against Ibis' head, then puts his head and paw on Ibis' chest. Rayla cups Zym's head in her hands and hugs him. Ezran puts his arms around Zym's neck.
Ibis was more than a great mage, he was a great friend. Losing Ibis is heartbreaking, but the world will face cascades of heartbreak and loss if we don't stop Aaravos.
Pyrrah roars and lands in the lair with Callum and Soren. Callum dismounts and changes a solemn look with Ezran and Rayla then hangs his head. Soren dismounts with the mirror.
The looking glass is enchanted and linked to an identical mirror within the magical prison. When no light reflects off its surface, it becomes as clear as a window and you can see directly into the prison itself.
A little sunlight won't be a problem. Vocare Nimbum.
Lightning sparks from Zubeia's eyes. Outside lightning flashes and dark clouds gather above the Storm Spire and black out the sunlight. In the lair everyone looks upward.
Her eyes light up with a purple light. She aligns the staff with the sunlight and a purple beam extends into the cave and shines on the chrysalis. She starts chanting.
Ezoo cimsoc ruoy morf egreme dlihc silasyrhc(Chrysalis child emerge from your cosmic ooze.)
A purple light ripples over the chrysalis in a pinwheel shape.
Scene Change
In the lair, Aaravos walks closer to the mirror and looks around. Soren glares and his hand moves to his sword on his hip. Aaravos clinches his fingers and Callum grabs his throat with both hands. He staggers backwards as Aaravos flexes his hands and manipulates Callum through the mirror. Callum’s hands go limb, he drops to his knees and slumps, his head hanging low.
Rayla slowly steps closer to Callum. She reaches out to him. His head turns sharply and his eyes go black. Ezran gasps. Aaravos moves his hand upwards and Callum lurches to a standing position, his eyes glow with a bright blue light. Aaravos smirks and Callum’s mouth copies the smirk.
Scene Change
At the cave entrance, Claudia is still performing the spell. She chants again.

Viren and Terry shield their eyes from an explosion of light in the cave. A hand appears and moves inside the chrysalis. The purple beam extinguishes and Claudia's shoulders slum. She drops to her knees out of breath and her eyes turn to normal.
Scene Change
In the lair Callum slowly places in front of the mirror. Ezran steps forward to Callum but Soren stops him.
[Through Callum] So these are the champions you've gathered to try and stop me? They're nothing but pathetic children. The whining child king. In over his head and he knows it.
A creature surrounded by green goo drops out of the chrysalis. It crawls through the cave. Outside Viren and Terry kneel next to Claudia. They look up as the creature emerges from the cave. The creature stands upright and spreads its large purple-pinkish wings.
Scene Change
In the lair, Callum stands in front of the mirror, bright light still glowing from his eyes. Aaravos waves his hand, Callum’s eyes return to normal and he collapses. Rayla catches him.
Aaravos walks backwards and a chair magically moves below where he sits down. He casually crosses his legs and blows a kiss to the mirror. The mirror shatters and the glass falls onto the ground.
