Transcript
The episode begins with Callum sitting on the pinnacle of the Storm Spire, drawing white magic runes onto his arms using a brush. Once finished, he examines them and smiles in satisfaction.
Perfect. [Walks up to the pinnacle's edge, where he exhales and spreads his arms out to his sides, then closes his eyes]Manus, Pluma, Volantus! [As nothing happens he checks his arms] My arm is itching a little. Maybe it's starting to work? [Continues to wave his arms around wildly]
[Fixes his position] Oh, uh, no! [Laughs nervously] I was just...greeting the sunrise! [Waves] Hello, sun, how's it going? [Cringes then puts on his jacket and looks down onto the clouds] You know, it's a big day. Could be our last.
[Pops up from the stairs and waves] Hey, guys! [Mimicks the ringing of a bell with his hand] Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding! Time for the battle meeting! Ding-ding!
The three descend from the Storm Spire using the stairs, when Soren suddenly stops in front of Callum.
So, like, I wanna say something to you. You know all those times I called you the step prince, or made fun of you, or knocked you down and stuff? You remember that?
Well, I'm sorry. It was wrong and I'm sorry for it. I think it was because even though the king was your stepdad, it was...it was so clear how much he loved you, and that made me feel...jealous and upset. So, I picked on you, because I didn't know any better. Also because you're smaller and weaker. [Grins]
[Turns back around and chuckles] And slower...I forgot slower. [Scratches his head awkwardly] So, should we, like, hug or something? You know, to seal the apology? Is that a thing?
[Looks back at the two and smiles, then shakes her head]
Scene Change
Viren's army has reached the petrified body of Avizandum, which they pass, lead by Viren and Claudia. Viren rides closer to his daughter to speak to her.
When you capture the dragonling, I will show you how to take his power, how to imbue yourself with all his magic and potentials, so that you will transcend the limits of your human form. Then none will dare stand against you.
Viren nods confidently and Aaravos turns to float at his side, while the army marches towards the Storm Spire.
Scene Change
The allied forces are gathered in the entrance room of the Storm Spire.
[Translating for Amaya] "That's when our natural advantage comes into play. [Holds up his sketchbook with the drawn plan] The spire itself. While they try to climb up, they'll be vulnerable. And that guy can pick them off easily." [Throws Amaya a suggestive look] And by that guy, she means this guy... [Points at self and poses] and my zap hand! Yeah! [Imitates zapping] Pew! Pew!
The group watches on as Zym curls up in front of the entrance to his mother's nest, and Bait approaches the dragonling to snuggle up against him in comfort.
Yes! Yes! Oh, such power! I can feel it surging into me! [Exclaims in excitement]
Rayla spots what is transpiring at the pinnacle and draws her blades, charging at Viren to take him down. Before she can reach him, Aaravos notices her and uses Viren's free arm to repel her attack. Callum arrives as Rayla's blade is flung away, gasping in panic upon seeing the events unfold.
The two ascend back onto the Storm Spire while sharing a long kiss.
Scene Change
Back at the entrance of the Storm Spire, Pyrrah sits at the entrance, while two more fire dragons are resting on the spire's edges. Ezran enters the entrance hall alongside Soren, where all allied forces have gathered and are exchanging conversations, but turn their attention towards Ezran upon noticing him. Ezran takes a breath before making his way to his friends. Ibis, Aanya and Corvus bow before him while he passes them, followed by Gren and Amaya, then Barius, Janai, and finally Opeli. When Azymondias spots Ezran, he squeals in joy and jumps into the boy's arms.
Amaya grins and crosses her arms, when a loud rumble suddenly shakes the cave and Azymondias dashes into the dragon lair, barking and yelping in excitement. Team Zym, along with their closest allies, enter the lair and step before the sleeping Zubeia. The Dragon Queen's eyes open and she slowly pushes herself to stand, while the allies watch in awe. Azymondias yips in joy and flies forward to meet his mother, who can not believe her eyes. Azymondias chirps once more as he gets nuzzled by Zubeia, then purrs. Both Rayla and Bait shed a couple of tears in relief.
The allies approach Zubeia. Callum and Rayla hold hands and smile at each other, followed by Janai and Amaya, who do the same, signaling that their species are no longer at war.
[Gasps] I can't believe it. Elves and humans are here...and they've brought back my baby, my love, and my hope.
Callum pulls Ezran closer in happiness and Azymondias flies through the room, while Zubeia gazes fondly upon the group. As the scene fades out, Callum, Rayla and Ibis turn around to face the entrance of the cave.
Scene Change
Inside a cave, Viren leans against a wall while water is dripping. The sun staff is lying next to him on the ground. After a moment, he jolts awake and gasps and groans, holding his head.
Viren looks at his hand, then around, noticing Claudia next to him, who does not react at first, then her eyes open, revealing them to be pitch black. Claudia gasps and brushes back her hair as tears fill her eyes.
Claudia gets up to walk towards her father, while the boot of a soldier can be seen behind a rock. Claudia gently places her hand against Viren's cheek, who gasps as he understands what has happened and that Claudia's hair has become significantly whiter. Claudia smiles with tears in her eyes.
Your creepy caterpillar friend? [Chuckles] Two days ago it climbed up that wall, and spun itself...into that. [Points towards a large, glowing cocoon hanging in between two cave walls] It's changing.
The two gaze upon the cocoon as eerie music plays.
