History[]

Pyrrah was a Fire Dragon who was born inside Xadia. She became familiar with the history between Zubeia and Domina Profundis.[1]

First Saga[]

Several days after the assassination of King Harrow, Pyrrah flies into Katolis as an itch drove her to fight humans.[2][3] She circled over Katolis three times before Soren provoked her to set the town that he, Claudia, and Corvus were walking through on fire. Claudia managed to shoot Pyrrah down with a ballista that had been imbued with dark magic and planned to bring her to Viren. However, Team Zym managed to free Pyrrah from her bonds as Soren used his sword to cut one of her horns off. Pyrrah retaliated by using her tail to swat Soren onto a rock, and the force of the impact paralyzed him from the neck down. As Pyrrah moved in to kill Soren, the sight of Azymondias surprised her and prompted her to fly back to Xadia.[4]

Pyrrah reunited with Team Zym while they were climbing the Storm Spire to meet Zubeia and helped them to cast "Ventus Spiralis" so that they could breathe properly at such high altitude.[5] When Soren arrived at the Storm Spire to warn Team Zym about Viren's approaching army, Pyrrah carried him to them and later accompanied both Ezran and Ibis in calling reinforcements to protect Zubeia and Zym.[6] Pyrrah, Ezran, and Ibis arrived at the battle with a pack of Fire Dragons who helped the defenders in defeating Viren's army.[7]

Second Saga[]

Two years after the battle at the Storm Spire, Pyrrah accompanied Zubeia and Zym on their journey to Katolis.[8] During the festivities at the Valley of the Graves, Pyrrah listened to Ezran's speech about striving for peace and Corvus's musical performance before a message from Ibis warned them about the potential return of Aaravos.[9] Pyrrah carried Soren, Callum, Bait, and the enchanted looking glass to the Storm Spire, where they would find Ibis's lifeless body on the pinnacle and briefly mourned his death. Pyrrah then witnessed Aaravos using dark magic to temporarily possess Callum through the mirror so that he could taunt Team Zym for their flaws and declare his inevitable return before shattering the looking glass.[10]

Pyrrah helped Zym, Soren, Corvus, and Hat to search for the missing Zubeia.[11][12] Upon knowing Zubeia was safe with the Earthblood Elf Mukho and the Mushpals of Fungi Lane, Pyrrah flew Zym, Soren, Corvus, and Hat back to Katolis after Ezran had imprisoned Viren in the dungeon.[13]

Pyrrah flew Soren, Terry, Aanya, and Hat from the Moon Nexus to the Valley of the Graves after Aaravos and Claudia managed to invert it to unleash hordes of restless spirits upon Xadia. She then joined Soren, Corvus, Terry, and Hat in bringing Zubeia from Fungi Lane so she, Rex Igneous, and Domina Profundis could help in defeating Aaravos.[14] Pyrrah and her group then followed Zubeia to Lux Aurea as Aaravos prepared to usher in an Eternal Night. She used her fire breath to burn the resurrected Ziard and some of Aaravos's minions as the Archdragons confronted Aaravos.[15] Pyrrah and her allies survived the battle at Lux Aurea after Domina Profundis used her body to shield them from the explosion caused by Aaravos's physical death. She eventually took part in celebrating the construction of the city of Everkynd before helping Soren, Corvus, and Terry in their new quest to find King Harrow, who was revealed to be still alive and had been trapped in Pip's body.[16]

Book Two - Sky[]

Heart of a Titan[]

As Team Zym, Villads, and Berto sail across a massive lake on The Ruthless, they notice Pyrrah's shadow flying through the clouds above them.

Fire and Fury[]

Pyrrah hovers over Katolis for the third time in a short period, causing her presence to be judged as an attempt to intimidate her enemies. After being provoked by Soren, she begins to unleash fire onto nearby buildings, but Claudia counters the attack by imbuing a ballista with a dark magic spell and successfully shoots Pyrrah down.

After being found injured and chained by soldiers inside a nearby forest, Soren and Claudia plan to use her body parts as sources for dark magic. Fortunately for the dragon, Rayla and Callum take notice of the scene and rush to her aid. After being freed, she engages in a fight and badly injures a resisting Soren, but not before having one of her horns broken off by his sword's blade. Pyrrah prepares to finish Soren off, when she is interrupted by Azymondias and Ezran. Unsure what to make of the sight of the Dragon Prince, Pyrrah takes flight and escapes.

Book Three - Sun[]

Hearts of Cinder[]

When Team Zym climbs the Storm Spire and starts to have difficulties in breathing its thin air, Pyrrah appears behind Ezran and breathes onto his neck to get his attention. When he recognizes her due to her missing horn, she slams her claw into the ground, startling him, as it appears she prepares to attack. However, Pyrrah proceeds to carve a Sky rune into the rock to communicate with the young king, which he swiftly understands as an indication of a Sky magic spell.

Dragonguard[]

Pyrrah appears before Soren, who asks her if she came to finish him off after he exhausted himself from climbing the Storm Spire. After he loses consciousness, she picks him up to transport him to the rest of the group.

When everyone agrees to fight together, Pyrrah offers her back to Ezran and eventually takes off with him to find more help for the battle.

The Final Battle[]

Pyrrah carries Ezran to the battlefield while leading other Fire Dragons into the fray. She then carries him to see his brother and is later seen standing behind him when he declares the battle as over.

Deep Below[]

Pyrrah accompanies Ezran, Bait, Azymondias, Soren, and Corvus inside the Arcus Vault to find the Siren Stone. She also explains the stone's origin, as it was given to Zubeia as a means to contact Domina Profundis after the Empress of the Deep was killed by greedy humans and elves.

Book Four - Earth[]

Fallen Stars[]

Pyrrah accompanies Zubeia in entering the lair of the Storm Spire to check whether Zym managed to finish his dinner of vegetables that Ibis had prepared. Ibis proclaims that Zym consumed every last morsel, when in truth is that he did not Ibis threw the vegetables out of the Storm Spire to avoid Zubeia's anger. Zubeia buys Ibis's story while Pyrrah lets out a growl of disagreement. Pyrrah then follows Zubeia and Zym on their flight towards Katolis during sunset without realizing that Viren, Claudia, and Terry are sneaking in to steal Viren's staff.

Breathtaking[]

Pyrrah, Zubeia, and Zym arrive in Katolis, with Soren happily waving the Fire Dragon welcome to the festivity. Pyrrah listens as Soren amuses Zubeia with some standup comedy and watches Callum accidentally uses his fireworks to splatter Barius's dragon-sized jelly tart all over the place, including on Zubeia's face. However, Zubeia happily declares the jelly tart as the most delicious in all of Xadia, much to everyone's jubilation.

By sunset, Pyrrah, Zubeia, and Zym attend the gift ceremony in the Valley of the Graves where Ezran shall unveil a painting as a gift of hope and friendship. But when the painting is unveiled, everyone is shocked to see that it has been vandalized with Zubeia's face being torn off. Ezran decides to use the moment to make a speech about peace, violence, loss, and forgiveness to inspire everyone to build a better future. Corvus then takes the opportunity to play a piece of music he has written called "A Song of Love and Loss". Pyrrah listens to the song as it lasts until nightfall when the ceremony is interrupted by an urgent message from Ibis that alerts everyone about the potential return of Aaravos.

Through the Looking Glass[]

Knowing that the return of Aaravos must not be taken lightly, Zubeia decides to return to the Storm Spire with Pyrrah and Zym, although Opeli manages to convince them to bring Team Zym along while the High Council look after Katolis. Pyrrah allows Callum and Soren to ride on her back before Callum decides to take the enchanted looking glass. Later on, Pyrrah uses her jaws to lift Bait onto her back before taking flight from the courtyard.

During their flight to the Storm Spire, Zubeia reveals to Team Zym the story of Aaravos's deceptions and imprisonment. When they reach the Storm Spire, they are horrified to find Ibis's lifeless body lying on the pinnacle. After mourning Ibis's death, Pyrrah enters the lair of the Storm Spire, allowing Callum and Soren to place the looking glass on the floor. Pyrrah watches as Aaravos uses dark magic to possess Callum and meet Team Zym for the first time before he shatters the looking glass after proclaiming that his eventual return is inevitable.

Pyrrah takes Zym, Soren, Corvus, and Hat to the crash site before flying off when they discover a mushroom trail leading deeper into the forest.

Several days later, Pyrrah looks curiously at the massive bowl of hot brown morning potion that Barius and the Katolian soldiers have prepared for her at the Banther Lodge before joining Soren, Corvus, and Terry in their new quest to find King Harrow, who is revealed to be still alive and is trapped in Pip's body.
