Moonstriders are a species of mammalian magical creatures that are connected to the Moon Primal.

Appearance

Moonstriders are slender canine creatures with elongated, gray snouts, which stand tall above an average person. Their black and dark gray pelt appears as sleek and significantly thicker around their neck, covering all body parts except for the ears, elbows, and tail, which resemble turquoise feathers instead. Their tails are long enough to lie on the ground. Luminescent, turquoise freckles spread across their legs and cheeks, which match the color of their eyes. Two long, slightly bent horns grow on their head, which are marked by light, glowing stripes. Additionally, they feature sharp teeth, a black dog-like nose, and a gray-purplish tongue.

Native to the Moonshadow Forest, the protective Shadowpaw and the prideful Moonstrider have lived peacefully alongside the Moonshadow Elves for generations. Over the years, some have been tamed and domesticated for use as mounts, hunting partners, and often simple companionship. They can be found living inside the Silvergrove.

The Moonstrider is a notoriously stubborn and solitary creature. Far more difficult to tame than the Shadowpaw, they require an experienced rider with the patience to challenge the creature's prideful nature. They are a popular mount among Moonshadow Elves. Over the years, some have been tamed and domesticated for use as mounts, hunting partners, and often simple companionship.
