The Merciful One is a Startouch Elf who was one of the Cosmic Judges. They allowed Aaravos to be spared from death after his daughter Leola was found guilty of breaking the cosmic order by giving magic to humans.[1]
Appearance[]
The Merciful One is a Startouch Elf with two tined purple horns, midnight blue skin, white hair, and magenta eyes. Their skin gets darker in color across their torso and down their arms before lightening once more. They have a white star marking on their chest, as well as star markings of the same hue across their face and hands. These star markings include a splash of small markings that give them the appearance of being freckled.[3][1]
In their non-corporeal form, the Merciful One resembles a face made of constellations.[1][4]
Personality[]
The Merciful One is a compassionate Startouch Elf who consoled Aaravos after he grieved the death of his beloved daughter Leola for 100 years. They believe that everyone is stardust held together by love for an instant. But despite this, due to their role in Leola's execution, they are far from merciful, though the father of the accused remembered the Merciful One as the judge who had tried to suggest that their council could offer leniency.[3][1]
Towards the end of his years of waiting to return to Xadia, the Merciful One was able to convince Aaravos to finally abandon his anger over Leola's death. Aaravos noted on how compassionate and understanding they are of him, despite all of his chaotic actions in Xadia.[4]
