Luna Tenebris was an Archdragon of the Moon and the former Queen of the Dragons. She was Sol Regem's successor and Avizandum's predecessor, with her era dating back 1000 years before the birth of Azymondias.[3] She decided to ultimately spare and banish humanity to the west of Xadia following their extensive use of dark magic, which became known as the "Judgement of the Half-Moon".[1] She died under mysterious circumstances 300 years before the birth of Azymondias.[4]
Appearance[]
Luna Tenebris was a huge Moon Dragon of unknown kind who towered over ordinary dragons. She had silvery-white scales and a silver underside that sported three dark blue gems on its chest area and reached from her chin down to the tip of her tail. Slim in overall figure, her head was petite and elongated with a delicate snout, and feather-like growths decorated the back of her head. Two of these plumes expanded past the average length. Two long, bent horns resembling those of a bull sat at the sides of her head, which were parted into sections of white and dark blue that faded into black and sported a row of pink spots on their sides. Several sections of wings colored in white and blue grew from her back, with three sections forming her primary wings, and a few smaller sections below them. These wings were fading into black where they connected to her body. Like most dragons, she was equipped with a set of long, sharp claws on her four feet. She was shown with piercing purple eyes.[4] She had an unusually long tail with a large feather at the tip that forked in two, as well as large feather-like growths around her hips.[5][2]
Personality[]
Little is known about Luna Tenebris, though she reacted with reason and mercy when the daughter of an elven leader proposed to banish humanity to the western half of the continent, rather than to annihilate them.[6]
Luna Tenebris was implied to be a good judge of character since she deemed her heir, Luna Devorans, to be unsuitable to succeed her for reasons yet to be revealed.[7]
Luna Tenebris was also said to be compassionate and loving towards her loyal Ice Behemoth companion, Esmeray.[5]

As an Archdragon of the Moon, Luna Tenebris drew power from the Moon and was at her strongest at night, especially on the night of a full moon.
