History[]
Jellybug was born at an unknown point in Xadia before he, Sneezles, and Hat were captured by Finnegrin and kept in Scumport to become leviathan bait.[1]
Second Saga[]
Jellybug, Sneezles, and Hat were rescued by Team Zym following Ezran's failed negotiation with Finnegrin.[1] During the journey to the Sea of the Castout, Jellybug earned his name after he ate all of the jelly from Ezran's packed tarts.[2] Jellybug, Sneezles, and Hat were recaptured by Finnegrin on Sea Legs following the destruction of The Ruthless, but were freed after Elmer chose to turn against and kill his former master.[3] Jellybug, Sneezles, and Hat then accompanied Team Zym in acquiring Aaravos's prison from the Sea of the Castout.[4]
After securing Aaravos's prison, Jellybug, Sneezles, and Hat joined Team Zym in traveling to Katolis, where they were introduced to Opeli and Barius. Jellybug stayed in Katolis with Ezran and Bait while the rest of Team Zym split up to go on their respective quests.[5][6][7] Jellybug eventually witnessed Sol Regem flying towards and preparing to attack Katolis.[8]
Book Five - Ocean[]
Bait & Switch[]
Jellybug, Sneezles, and Hat are kept by Finnegrin in his office at Scumport, and the Tidebound Elf attempts to trade them for Bait with Ezran when the young king tries to find transportation to the Sea of the Castout. The three baby Glow Toads are later rescued by Team Zym before taking off in The Ruthless with Villads, Berto, and Nyx.
Sea Legs[]
Jellybug, Sneezles, and Hat wake Ezran up in his cabin on The Ruthless as the young king realizes that he has not named them yet. While hiding from Finnegrin's ship Sea Legs in a fog bank, Jellybug ate all of the jelly from the packed tarts, which inspires Ezran in giving the baby Glow Toad his name. Jellybug stays with Team Zym until they are all captured by Finnegrin on Sea Legs.
Finnegrin's Wake[]
Jellybug, Sneezles, and Hat are kept in a cage inside Finnegrin's cabin before Elmer's change of heart allows him to regain his freedom.
Infantis Sanguine[]
Jellybug, Sneezles, and Hat remain on the rowboat with Bait, Zym, and Soren, while Callum, Rayla, Ezran, and Stella dive into the Sea of the Castout to retrieve Aaravos's prison. Jellybug, Sneezles, and Hat are snuggling with Bait after Callum and his group completed their mission.
Book Six - Stars[]
Startouched[]
Jellybug, Sneezles, and Hat are sleeping alongside Bait as Soren introduces them to Opeli before Team Zym and the High Council agree to hide and protect Aaravos's prison in Katolis.
Later that night, Jellybug is sleeping alongside Bait in the royal chambers. Not long after, Callum bursts in to reveal his secret plan of bringing Aaravos's prison to the Star Scraper while a decoy prison that Barius created stays in Katolis. Ezran jokes with Callum about whether they should trust Jellybug with the plan.
Love, War & Mushrooms[]
Jellybug sleeps alongside Bait in the royal chambers as Ezran and Zym telepathically communicate with each other.
The Frozen Ship[]
Jellybug is sleeping alongside Bait in the royal chambers during a stormy night when Ezran is alerted to Viren's presence in Katolis.
We All Fall Down[]
Jellybug and Barius are about to enjoy a batch of freshly baked jelly tarts when they witness Sol Regem about to wreak havoc on Katolis.
