A vast variety of unique plant life can be found inside the Human Kingdoms and Xadia. In some cases, certain plants can occur on both sides of the continent.
The Human Kingdoms[]
- Blue roses: Blue roses usually only grow in Xadia, however, they can also be found at the Moon Nexus, as they draw power from the Moon, allowing them to thrive.[1]
- Bogey berries: Bogey berries are a natural cure for the common cold. To heal a cold, two berries have to be stuffed up into a person's nostrils, though not many will put up with the task.[1]
- Death berries: Death berries are poisonous berries that are native to Katolis and the Moonshadow Forest. Ingesting a single death berry results in certain death.[2]
- Milkfruits: Big bushes of milkfruits can be found inside Katolis and are loved by deer. They are based on the bizarre real-life Akebia quinata vine.[1]
- Moonberries: Moonberries are nutritious berries that are native to Katolis and the Moonshadow Forest. They can be made into juices and Moonberry Surprises. Moonberries resemble and grow from the exact same bush as the poisonous death berries, with the only difference is that moonberries glow under moonlight. Ingesting a single moonberry is said to be enough to satiate one's hunger for nearly an entire day.[2]
- Stone fruits: Stone fruits are edible fruits that are native to Katolis.[2]
- Unnamed flowers: Claudia used an unknown purple daisy-like flower in combination with grasshopper goop, in an attempt to heal Soren's paralysis via dark magic. A petal was placed on each his ears, with more of them placed on his eyes in the progress of the spell.[2][3]
- Willow melons: Villads mentioned willow melons and their seeds when he was teaching Callum about sailing.[4]
- Winterberries: Winterberries are berries that are native to Katolis and can be made into winterberry pies.[5]
Xadia[]
- Beige bittersquash: Beige bittersquash is a form of a squash that is consumed by the residents of the Silvergrove. While not very tasty, they are known to be nutritious.[6]
- Blue roses: Blue roses usually only grow in Xadia, however, they can also be found at the Moon Nexus, as they draw power from the Moon, allowing them to thrive.[1]
- Bubble poppies: Bubble poppies are orange flowers that can be found growing in the Drakewood. They have multiple small bubbles inside their leaves. Earthblood Elves pop the bubbles inside the leaves to calm their anxieties.[7]
- Crimson orchids: Crimson orchids are crimson-colored flowers that can be used as wedding decorations.[8]
- Curlcorals: Curlcorals are a highly rare kind of coral that is as tough as steel, has razor-sharp nodes bubbling from its surface, and has regenerative powers. If shattered, it can regrow within two days. They are formed by magical creatures of the same name.[9]
- Dawnfruits: Dawnfruits are pink fruits that are eaten by Sunfire Elves in a winter meal called Crackledrake. When put in flaming brandy, they peel open like six-petaled flowers.[10]
- Death berries: Death berries are poisonous berries that are native to the Moonshadow Forest and Katolis. Ingesting a single death berry results in certain death.[2]
- Dew-flowers: Dew-flowers are flowers that can be turned into jelly.[6]
- Fart flowers/Toot-lips/Peri-stinkles/Flatu-lillies: Native to the Moonshadow Forest, these flowers may look innocent, but bear a stinky secret. Due to their horrible odor, elves nickname these flowers "fart flowers".[11]
- Flowers of Elarion: Flowers of Elarion are rare, beautiful flowers that originated from and were named after the city of Elarion. They bloom at night and crumble to ashes at sunrise.[9]
- Heartbloom flowers: Heartbloom flowers are tiny silver flowers that are native to Xadia.[12]
- Honeyburst rainbow grapes: Honeyburst rainbow grapes is a form of a grapes that is consumed by the residents of the Silvergrove, which is as colorful as the name suggests and sugary in taste.[6]
- Kindlecorn: Kindlecorn is a brown-capped form of corn eaten by Sunfire Elves in a winter meal called Crackledrake. When put in flaming brandy, they take on a golden glow.[10]
- Lunablooms: Lunablooms are blue-blushed flowers that are native to the Moonshadow Forest. They thrive on cool nights and morning dew and emit a light from their core. In an early growing stage, their petals are curled at the edges.[13]
- Melodaisies: Melodaisies are blue flowers that are native to the Moonshadow Forest. They earn their name from the fact that these plants can play an upbeat music tune while bouncing and emitting a blue glow.[11]
- Moonberries: Moonberries are nutritious berries that are native to the Moonshadow Forest and Katolis. They can be made into juices and Moonberry Surprises. Moonberries resemble and grow from the exact same bush as the poisonous death berries, with the only difference is that moonberries glow under moonlight. - Mush-mallows: Mush-mallows are small mushrooms that contain shrinking magic. Anything that eats them will temporarily shrink to a small size.[14]
- Plumerias: Plumerias are flowers that can be used to scent candles, including Soul Candles. One of their colors is yellow.[15]
- Pothos leaves: Pothos leaves are leaves that were used in the crafting of the Queen Pothos Ring.[9]
- Ruby Potatoes: Ruby potatoes are plants consumed by Moonshadow Elves.[6]
- Sanguicots: Sanguicots are large summer fruits that are native to the Moonshadow Forest.[13]
- Scorchberries: Scorchberries are a kind of berries eaten by Sunfire Elves. They can be used as an ingredient for scorchberry scones.[15]
- Shower flowers: Shower flowers can be found in the Moonshadow Forest.[16]
- Star plums: Star plums are plump, violet summer fruits that are native to the Moonshadow Forest.[13]
- Star-seeds: Star-seeds are seeds that can be turned into biscuits.[6]
- Sun Seeds: Sun Seeds are bright yellow seeds that absorb the light of the Sun and grow in the hollow between the twisting trunk of wisteria-like trees, with roots flooded with magma. They are a vital part of Lux Aurea's history, as one of said seeds was grown into the "Great Orb" over several centuries, which became the core of the Sunforge. Another Sun Seed was planted into a tree in the ruins near Lux Aurea that the Sunfire Elves had settled in after the destruction of their city, with the intention of cultivating a new Great Orb.[17] However, that Sun Seed was stolen by Miyana who brought it to Karim and Pharos, who use it to heal Sol Regem's wings.[18]
- Sun's Tears: Sun's Tears are blandly shaped flowers that come in washed-out yellow and pink colors. Their spiny bushes can be found in shady areas between the Moonshadow Forest and the Midnight Desert, and their dried petals can be ground with oil to make a healing salve.[13]
- Sunset violets: Sunset violets are sunset-colored flowers that can be used as wedding decorations.[8]
- Unnamed Colorful Roots: These colorful roots are found growing from plants in the Drakewood and a tangle of them can be used for a dark magic spell that allows its caster to dig underground.[19]
- Unnamed Innean Trees: These trees grew around Innean and their roots can be made into chewing gums.[20]
- Unnamed Xadian Gourds: These gourds can be found growing on the trees of the Drakewood.[21]
- Xadian moon-night mushrooms: Xadian moon-night mushrooms are mushrooms that can be used for dark magic spells after being dried and turned into powder.[22]
- Xadian oranges: Xadian oranges are similar to regular oranges, but they have no seeds and can be eaten without being peeled first.[23]
- Xadian poppies: Xadian poppies are a version of poppies native to Xadia that is a favorite magical source of Blossom-Backed Dragons.[9]
- Xadiazelias: Xadiazelias are a type of azalea-like flowers that grow on the walls of the Storm Spire. Their petals' colors are light blue, pink, and white.[24]
