Domina Profundis is an Archdragon of the Ocean who can be summoned when an ancient rune-beacon on the eastern coast of Xadia is lit up via the usage of the Siren Stone.[3]
Appearance[]
Domina Profundis is an enormous and aquatic Ocean Dragon of unknown kind who towers over ordinary dragons. She has blue skin on the back of her body, and a white underside that extends to her face, excluding her snout and forehead. Shades of gold, turquoise, and light blue form the seam between these two parts of her coloring, while the light blue stretches across her frog-like paws as well. Two large fins spread from her head in place of ears, while a pair of golden horns with light blue markings grow upward from the top of her head. A blue and round bulge protrudes from her forehead, while her purple eyes are protected by golden brows. She has fins on each of her four legs, all of which are colored in a mix of beige, a soft purple, and a hue of blue. A pair of long blue tendrils extend from each of her shoulders and her tail flukes resemble that of a whale.[4]
Personality[]
Domina Profundis is said to reflect the fathomless and mercurial power of the mysterious deep, but her greatness makes her first among many peers.[5]
Domina Profundis used to be a proud protector of Xadia and was active in maintaining peace alongside the other Archdragons, especially Zubeia, her oldest and greatest friend. But after greedy humans and elves killed the Empress of the Deep, a leviathan and one of her closest friends who protected the seas in her stead, grief and fury drove Domina to drown the ships of the hunters. She then became remorseful for neglecting the seas before vowing to enter a life of isolation within its depths and to only breach the surface if someone uses the Siren Stone to summon her.[3]
Following her isolation, Domina Profundis became highly protective over the deep sea and all of its creatures. When she learned about Finnegrin using his favorite Giant Hermit Crab Shelley to kill leviathans and krakens across Xadia's seas, she responded by killing Shelley and vowing to drown the Tidebound Elf herself if she ever sees him a mile offshore again.[6]
Domina Profundis can become irritated if individuals of seemingly little significance summon her from the depths. But upon learning that Aaravos is planning to escape his imprisonment, Domina willingly agrees to help Team Zym by revealing the true nature of the prison.[1]
Skills and Abilities[]
Ocean Primal Connection[]
As an Archdragon of the Ocean, Domina Profundis draws power from the Ocean and is at her strongest deep underwater, at high tide, and during a rainfall. According to Pyrrah, Domina was able to drown a hundred ships in a terrible storm.[3] She can also breathe and stay underwater for an indefinite amount of time.[1]
Physical Attributes[]
Due to her immense stature, Domina Profundis is able to shake the ground with each step of her feet. She can also swim at great speed without showing signs of exhaustion and create massive waves when she slams her tail into the water.[1] According to Finnegrin, Domina was capable in taking out Shelley, his pet Giant Hermit Crab who could use both of her claws to kill leviathans and krakens.[6]
