Cuddlemonkeys are a species of lemur-like magical creatures. They are one of the rare few creatures that come in six different subspecies for each of the six Primal Sources of magic that exist in nature.[1]

Appearance[]

Cuddlemonkeys resemble six-legged ring-tailed lemurs in both the pattern of their face, as well as the long, black and white striped, prehensile[2] tail growing from their lower back. While their fur is mainly a dark color, their faces are covered in white. Their paws also appear in the same pattern, with white palms and black fingers. Their ears are short and are stuffed with fluffy white fur. Juveniles are around the same size as Glow Toads, and they have generally large facial features with a round snout, big eyes, and small nostrils.[3]

Skills and Abilities[]

Primal Connection[]

Cuddlemonkeys can be connected to any Primal Source. Juveniles are all cute, making it difficult to tell what source they may be connected to at first glance. Depending on what source they are connected to, they may all grow up differently.[1] They are one of the few creatures who are known to be connected to the Stars.

Trivia[]

  • Cuddlemonkeys are currently the only known creatures next to dragons, elves, and Adoraburrs that can be connected to each of the six Primal Sources.
  • Cuddlemonkeys were first mentioned in the handbook of Tales of Xadia, where they were described to be connected to the Star Primal. This was later changed during New York Comic Con 2022, where it was revealed that they can grow up to be connected to any Primal Source.[1]
