Allies[]

Ezran[]

Corvus has always been determined to protect Ezran, fighting Rayla twice and going way beyond Katolian borders to retrieve him, before realizing that Rayla was also on their side. When Ezran went missing, Corvus was briefly convinced that the prince had died when spotting Banther tracks replacing Ezran's, but was relieved to learn that Ezran could communicate with animals. He later guided Ezran back to Katolis when Ezran decided to take his role as king.

At the castle, he was initially forbidden from joining the meeting of the High Council and Ezran, but was allowed when Ezran specifically requested that he be permitted to attend. He continued to remain in Ezran's presence to aid him, but was forced to flee temporarily after Ezran agreed to be imprisoned and Viren took the throne. After Ezran was freed by Soren, Corvus admitted that even though his reign was short he was proud of Ezran nonetheless for the courage he displayed.[1]

Amaya[]

Corvus and Amaya appear to have a good relationship based on respect and trust. This is evident when Amaya sends Corvus on a crucial and sensitive mission to find and rescue her nephews, princes Callum and Ezran. Corvus and Amaya occasionally bake together, like on Gren's birthday, though Amaya tends to leave in eggshells when baking cake.[2] Amaya only trusts Corvus to bake her beloved birthday oatmeal cookies, though he has to miss out on her birthday sparring match in exchange.[3]

When Corvus was injured during the battle in the Great Bookery of Lux Aurea, Amaya immediately rushed to his side to protect him from the corrupted Banthers. Thinking that his end was near, Corvus proudly proclaimed the honor he had in serving under Amaya.[4] However, Amaya did not give up on Corvus and succeeded in bringing him to the safety of the Sunfire Elf camp.[5] Later, Amaya encouraged Corvus to rest after his search for Janai proved to be futile.[6]

Opeli[]

Seeing the trust that Ezran placed in Corvus, she was on friendly terms with Corvus. When Viren declared himself king after being freed from prison, with Ezran taking his place, he recognized that Viren would move quickly to persecute any "traitors" and that the both of them fell into that category. She escapes together with him and later worked together with him and Soren to help free and spirit away Ezran.[1]

Soren[]

At first, Corvus perceived Soren as an enemy when he and Claudia tried to capture Team Zym. Soren did not help matters by referring to him as a "traitor" and gagging him.[7] They eventually decided to work together in protecting a town from the Fire Dragon Pyrrah after Soren had started a fight with her.[8] When Ezran was thrown into a dungeon after giving up his crown, Soren masterminded the escape plan which Corvus was involved with, starting their positive relationship.[1] The two fought together against Viren's forces and watched as Zubeia awaken.[9] Eventually, Soren and Corvus started to bond over silly challenges Soren suggested and, knowing that Soren was still recovering from losing his family, Corvus endured them despite sometimes being annoyed by his suggestions. Following one of these challenges, Soren asked Corvus to join the Crownguard.[10] Two years later, they spend a lot of their time together on duty.[11]

Rayla[]

Corvus originally viewed Rayla as his enemy, for he believed that she had kidnapped Callum and Ezran and imprisoned them against their will. So he didn't hesitate to set a trap for Rayla and ambush her. When Rayla told him during the fight that the two princes were with her voluntarily, he did not want to believe her. He lost the fight and Rayla fled with the princes.

Later, at the Moon Nexus, Corvus saw Soren and Claudia attacking the princes and Rayla defended them, realizing that she had been telling the truth, and Corvus chose to restrain Claudia so that Rayla and the princes could escape. When he meets Rayla for the third time, he seems to be no longer interested in fighting her. He was nice to her because he realized that she and Ezran had become real friends.

Corvus eventually accepts Rayla as an ally of the two princes because he had no problem keeping Callum close to them as they continued to Xadia. It is unknown whether Rayla forgave him for attacking her, but in the Midnight Desert, she jokes to Callum about Corvus teaching her about tracking as they follow the vast footprints of Nyx's Ambler.[1] The remained on good terms two years later, with Corvus being among the group that came to rescue Rayla, Callum and Amaya from the Lux Aurean library, although the battle that broke out prevented them from any further interaction. Later, Corvus' allegiance to King Ezran forced him to attempt to stop Rayla when she tried to free Runaan and escape. Despite this, however, Corvus tried to talk the Moonshadow elf down, believing that they could reach a compromise, but Rayla refused, unwilling to stand by and allow the imprisonment her former guardian. Although further interaction after this remains limited, neither Rayla nor Corvus appear to hold any lasting animosity towards one another, the two of them likely understanding that the other was merely doing their duty.

Enemies[]

Claudia[]

When Claudia attempted to capture Team Zym, Corvus used his chains to restrain the mage and allowed Team Zym to escape. This prompted Claudia and Soren to label Corvus a traitor and take him prisoner until their confrontation with Pyrrah. Upon returning to Katolis Castle, Corvus was shocked to hear that Viren sent Claudia and Soren to kill Callum and Ezran, and Corvus chose to side against Claudia when she pleaded for her innocence.

Viren[]

Corvus firmly opposed Viren's rulership over Katolis when he claimed the crown after Ezran agreed to imprisonment in exchange for the safety of his people. He was the one who warned Opeli that it would not be long before Viren went after traitors and that they needed to flee, immediately.[1]
