Book Three: Sun is the third season of The Dragon Prince, consisting of a total of 9 episodes. It is the third and final season of the first saga of the series, and gains its name from the Sun Primal. It was released for streaming on Netflix on November 22nd, 2019.
The events of the third season were expanded upon in Book Three: Sun (The Dragon Prince #3).[1] However, it is currently cancelled; but due to interest and a finished draft, it may be picked up by another publisher.[2][3]
The story takes place after the events of Book Two: Sky.

Synopsis
The journey to return the Dragon Prince Azymondias to his mother, Zubeia, comes to an end. With war declared on Xadia, Ezran faces a difficult decision, while his friends encounter the former Dragon King, Sol Regem. At the same time, General Amaya collides with the leader of the Sunfire Elf military, Janai. As Viren's and Aaravos's plans begin to take shape, the city of Lux Aurea faces an unexpected danger. To win the inevitable battle against Viren's forces, Team Zym and their allies have to come up with a clever plan to strike back against the enemy. A final battle between the two forces decides over the fate of Xadia.
