Book Seven: Dark,[1] which is part of the "Mystery of Aaravos", is the seventh and final season of The Dragon Prince, consisting of a total of 9 episodes. It is also the fourth and final season of the second saga of the series, and gains its name from dark magic. It was first teased during New York Comic Con (2024) with the subtitle "The Dragon Prince: Season 7 and the Saga's Next Arc".[2] It was released for streaming on Netflix on December 19, 2024.
The story takes place after the events of Book Six: Stars.

Trivia[]
- This season was initially considered to be the final season. However, it was revealed that there were an additional three seasons planned for a third arc of the series, should the series be renewed further.[1] It was eventually announced that the third arc will be repurposed as a sequel to The Dragon Prince titled The Dragon King.[3]
- It is also the second season set to be released on the same year as the previous season, the first being Book Three: Sun.
- The official trailer for this season use Corey De La Roche Martin's, John Sponsler's, and Tom Gire's track "Kingdom In The Sky" from the album "Xplorers" as theme music.
